Meet the Owner

Hackett Carpentry & Construction LLC was founded by Mason Straub, who has been involved in the construction industry for over a decade. Over the years, Mason has gained experience in many different areas of construction, including finish carpentry, framing, cabinetry, residential remodeling, construction sales, estimating, and project management. This diverse background has given him a well-rounded understanding of the construction process, from initial planning to the finished product.

In 2022, Mason graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a bachelor's degree in Construction Management. Combining his formal education with years of hands-on experience, he brings practical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship to every project.

Mason has called Hastings, Minnesota, home for the past three years, where he lives with his fiancée and their two dogs. He takes pride in serving his local community and building lasting relationships with homeowners throughout Hastings and the surrounding areas.

Mason founded Hackett Carpentry & Construction with a simple goal: to provide homeowners with quality craftsmanship, honest communication, and dependable service. As an owner-operated business, customers can expect a personal, hands-on approach and direct communication from the initial consultation through project completion.
